Hello My Friends!
I want to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! It has been a pretty amazing year for me, and I must thank you all for your help making it that way. I hope that you all have been able to accomplish your goals, as well as enjoy the process. 2015 will hopefully be even better, and I can’t wait to share it with you all.
This weekend I found myself getting right back out there, playing in the US National Open. The tournament was played in my hometown of Aiken, SC and was open to anyone who resides in the US. There was a great turn with most of the US based professionals on hand. I managed to get through to the Finals with straight set wins over Rich Smith and Barney Tanfield, and took on an old friend James Stout in the Finals.
In the Finals I played some of my best tennis of the year. After returning from the British Open I felt there were some parts of my game that I was not doing well, and I wanted to fix them at this final tournament of the year. Well I did just that, hitting my openings with control, and keeping my error count as low as possible. I stormed through the match, and finished it in just under an hour and a half with a final score of 6/2 6/0 6/1.
It has been a great year, and I am proud of all that I have accomplished. Thank you all so much for the support and kindness you have given me, as I know I would not have been able to do this without them. I wish you all a happy holiday season and more specifically a Merry Christmas! For those of you who don’t know Christmas is my favorite holiday, and I am especially excited to spend this one in Charleston with my family.
There will be big news surfacing as we get into next year, so please keep checking this site!
