Training Update!

Hello Friends!

Things have been SUPER busy up north. Between hosting events at the NTC, weathering snow storms, studying for my classes, and somehow fitting in my own training, I have not had very much free time. Over the last month, I have put together a schedule for the next 3 months with the help of Dacre Stoker and Rob Johnston. I can’t thank them enough for the support they are giving me. They are helping me live my dream, and give 100% towards the WC Eliminators. If you have not heard yet, Philadelphia has won the right to host the Final Eliminator, and the event will be April 6th, 8th, and 10th.

While I can’t give you all my full schedule (don’t want to give away my secrets!!), my goal is to give you all weekly updates on some of the training I will be getting into.

This week I am heading to Philadelphia for a few days to hit with my good friends John Lumley and Gabe Kinzler. Since the Final Eliminator is set to be there, it is a great opportunity to remind myself how the court plays. I am also preparing for the US Open, which will be in mid February in Chicago. Since I have not played an event since last June I desperately need some competitive practice to get myself into tournament shape.

If you are in the Philadelphia area this Thursday – Saturday please let me know, as would love to catch up with you all!

Happy New Year!

Hello Friends!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! I hope you all had a good night, and that you made some good resolutions for this year. My 2016 resolution is to focus more on spending time with my family and friends. I tend to be so driven with my court tennis goals, that I forget about the most important people to me!

That being said, I was originally planning on heading to Australia on the 2nd of January for the Australian Open. This plan has changed though, as my mother had some surgery over Christmas, and I feel that I need to go down and take care of her for a little while. I am sorry to be missing the event, but am excited to take care of my mom for once instead of her taking care of me!

Let’s start 2016 right and really concentrate on our goals and what we would like to achieve this year!
